| Ribbons & Strings, An Evening of Music, Dance
and Art: The Thomasville Cultural Center in cooperation with South Georgia Performing Arts and South Georgia Ballet will present the fourth annual production Ribbons & Strings, An Evening of Music, Dance & Art Thursday, September 24. The production offers a unique performance for local audiences with a variety of musical styles and dances performed to live accompaniment. A gallery reception is planned for 6:15 pm and the performance is at 7:00 pm. For tickets call the Thomasville Cultural Center at 229-226-0588. |

| The Nutcracker: Students of South Georgia Performing Arts School of Dance who audition and have been accepted into the South Georgia Ballet Company present the holiday classic The Nutcracker each year. The 2009 performances are Saturday, December 12 at 7:30 pm and Sunday, December 13 at 2:30 pm at the Thomasville Municipal Auditorium. Special abbreviated school matinee performances are Friday, December 11 at 9:30 am and 12:15 pm. A Land of Sweets Champagne Reception for sponsors will be held following the opening night performance. The Parade Sweets Children’s Tea is on Sunday, December 13 at 1:30 pm. | Spring Production: Dancers from South Georgia Performing Arts School of Dance perform a ballet each spring along with a tap and jazz presentation. The 2010 Spring Performance will feature an original ballet, Alice In Wonderland as well as an exciting second act featuring our tap and jazz students. It will be performed June 4 at 7:00 pm, June 5 at 7:00 pm, June 6 at 2:00 pm at the Cairo High School Auditorium. An abbreviated matinee is planned for June 4 at 10:15 am. All students will perform in the annual spring performance with dancers from South Georgia Ballet Company. |

| Touring Performances: As part of our
Company in Residence program, South Georgia Ballet frequently
visits communities in South Georgia bringing their diverse repertoire
to this region. The program incorporates performing and master
classes to create a unique experience for each location. The
Company In Residence series allows each community to tailor
their experience to their own audience, choosing from an extensive
list of possible choreographic works, master classes, lecture
demonstrations, and backstage opportunities. The Company’s
previous touring includes Albany, Bainbridge, Baxley, Moultrie
